It is surprising how many people fail to make the connection between a sedentary lifestyle and a lack of sexual desire. While there are many things that can cause your libido to wain (blood pressure, medication, stress, ect.), one of the best things you can do for yourself and partner is to increase your exercise.

The trick is doing the right workouts to get things moving again. There are many that will decrease stress, while giving you the right intensity of workout. Not only will this make you feel better, but you will be more relaxed, better able to sleep, less stressed, and in better shape. All of these equal to more fervor in the bedroom.

Stay away from high intensity cardio. This means anything that takes you up to a 75% increase in heart rate. Instead of running, take long walks. Instead of cycling, try swimming. Also, you should try something like yoga, which has been shown to improve the libido.

You may be wondering why it is that cardio can be bad for the sex drive. Technically, it isn’t, as it will improve blood flow, and get rid of excess fat. But it increases certain hormones which will reduce those dedicated to sex. Be careful of what kind of workout you choose.
